Almost immediately Bertuccio entered the apartment.	В ту же минуту вошел Бертуччо.
"Did your excellency desire to see me?" inquired he.	- Ваше сиятельство спрашивали меня? - сказал он.

Monte Cristo shrugged his shoulders.	Монте-Кристо пожал плечами.
"It seems, sir steward," said he, "that you have yet to learn that all things are to be sold to such as care to pay the price."	- Знайте, господин управляющий, нет ничего, что не продавалось бы, когда умеешь предложить нужную цену.
"His excellency is not, perhaps, aware that M. Danglars gave 16,000 francs for his horses?"	- Господин Данглар заплатил за них шестнадцать тысяч франков, ваше сиятельство.
