At last he came to the bend (наконец он пришел к излучине; bend — сгиб, поворот) where he had to cross the water (где он должен был перейти/пересечь речку), if he was to make for the camp (если он собирался идти к лагерю), as he wished (как он того и желал). They will help him more than us (а то они помогут больше ему, чем нам), if it is that queer little creature (если это то самое странное маленькое существо) that is said to be their servant (которое, как говорят, их слуга). ”

“Servant, indeed (слуга, да ну/в самом деле)!” snorted Bilbo (фыркнул Бильбо); and in the middle of his snort (и посредине своего фырканья) he sneezed loudly (он громко чихнул), and the elves immediately gathered towards the sound (и эльфы немедленно собрались по направлению к этому звуку).
