The doorbell interrupted my thoughts. I quickly jumped out of bed — it's Lucas and Bigben was back! And I still had to get dressed. While I was dressing, the doorbell fell silent, and my cell phone rang. I quickly went into the hallway and opened the front door. Bigben stood in the doorway, Lucas wasn't with him.

— Проходи. Извини, я спала.

"Come in. Sorry, I was asleep."

— Я уже подумал, что ты ушла куда-то.

"I thought you went somewhere."

— Нет, я ждала вас, как договорились. Нашли корабль?

"No, I was waiting for you, as we agreed. Did you find the ship?"

— Нашли, — ответил Бигбен, проходя в гостиную.

"Yes, we did," Bigben replied, passing behind me to the living room.

— А где Лукас? — спросила я.

"Where's Lucas?" I asked.

Не дожидаясь ответа, я взяла грязные чашки и понесла их на кухню. Бигбен взял оставшуюся посуду и пошел за мной.

Without waiting for a reply, I took the dirty cups and carried them to the kitchen. Bigben took the remaining dishware and followed me.

— Я так «вырубилась», когда вы ушли. Мне Алекса снилась.

"So I "passed out" when you are gone. I dreamt about Alexa."

— Да? И о чем вы с ней говорили?

"Yes? And what were you talking about?"

— Тебе кофе или чай? Есть еще яблочный сок, если хочешь.

"Coffee or tea? There is still Apple juice if you want."

— Давай сок. Так что ты узнала?

"Give me the juice. So what have you learned?"

Я поставила стаканы на стол на кухне, налила в них сок. Мы сели за стол.

I put the glasses on the table of the kitchen, poured juice in them. We sat down at the table.

— Сначала ты расскажи, что у вас было. И где Лукас?

"First you tell me that you had happened. And where is Lucas?"

— Лукас остался с матросами.

"Lucas has remained with the sailors."

— Вы попали на корабль?

"Did you got on the ship?"

— Да. Лукас даже нашел там своего земляка.

"Yes, we did. Lucas even found his countryman there."

— Земляка?

"Countryman?"

— Ну, или он сделал вид, что они земляки. Парусник оказался шведским. Лу заговорил с экипажем на датском, наверное. Один из моряков оказался из Дании, и он и Лукас были рады поговорить друг с другом. Я ушел, когда Лу рассказывал моряку, что датчане — это бывшие римляне.

"Well, or he pretended that they were countrymen. The sailboat turned out to be Swedish. Lou started talking with the crew on the Danish, probably. One of the sailors was from Denmark, and he and Lucas were happy to talk with each other. I left when Lucas was saying the sailor that the Danes are former Romans."

— Датчане были римлянами? Лу умеет удивить, — засмеялась я.

"The Danes were the Romans? Lou knows how to surprise," I laughed.

— Не то слово. А как твой сон? Что ты расскажешь?

"That's right. How about your sleep? What do you say?"

— Было необычно. Я сначала оказалась в странном кинотеатре. Представь, что ты стоишь, а под ногами и вокруг тебя ничего нет, только небо кругом. Внезапно это небо со всех сторон разрезают молнии, оно расходится в местах разрезов, и в образовавшихся проемах ты видишь фильмы, показывающие историю Земли. Фильмы быстро менялись, эпоха за эпохой, потом на одном из кадров я увидела свою гостиную, и меня как будто втянуло в нее.

"It was unusual. At first, I was in a strange movie theater. Imagine that you are standing, and under the feet and around you is nothing but sky around. Suddenly, lightning from all sides, dissect the sky. The sky is at odds in places the incisions, and in the formed openings, you watch movies showing the history of the Earth. Movies changed rapidly, showing age after age, then I saw my living room on one of the film frames, and I feel like I was dragged into it."

— Ну, ты и фантазерка, — улыбаясь, сказал Бигбен.

"Well, you're a dreamer," smiling, Bigben said.

— Думай, что хочешь. Но так и было. Дальше в гостиной была Алекса, она немного рассказала о нас.

"Think what you want. But it was. After it, Alexa was in the living room; she talked a little bit about us."

— И что она рассказала?

"And what did she tell you?"

— А когда ты родился?

"And when were you born?"

— Третьего мая.

"The third of May."

— И я третьего мая. Мне двадцать один сейчас, а тебе сколько?

"I born the third of May, too. Now I'm twenty-one, how old are you?"

— Двадцать восемь.

"Twenty-eight."

— Разница семь лет ровно. Интересно, а когда Лукас родился?

"The difference is seven years straight. Then I wonder when Lucas was born?"

— Увидим его, спросим. Но что это значит? Зачем тебе это знать?

"When we shall see him, ask. But what does that mean? Why do you know that?"

— Алекса предложила спросить. Сказала, что мне будет интересно.

"Alexa asked me to ask. She said that I would be interested."

— Что она еще сказала?

"What else did she say?"

— Мы втроем вместе «не на один день».

"The three of us are together 'not just for one day.'"

— Для чего?

"Why?"

— Ты также нетерпелив, как я. Она сказала, что все прояснится.

"You're as impatient as I am. She said all would become clear."

— Понятно… а про праздник узнала что-то?

"It's clear… And did you learn something about the celebration?"
