Dear Admissions Officer:

I would like to apply for admission to your University. I wish to enroll in a Doctoral (or Master) Degree Programme in the field of Theoretical Physics of Solid States. My qualifications are outlined below. If they meet your requirements, please, send me an application form and an information about foreign student admissions. I do not have financial resources for my education. I plan to request a financial aid from your University. If financial aid is not available I do not wish to be considered for admission.

1990–1994 – Department of Physics of the St. Petersburg State University. In May 23, 1994 I was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Physics with specialization in Theoretical Physics. My bachelors work was devoted to the investigation of the energetic structure of the electron (Wigner) crystals.

From October 1, 1994 I'm attending the master's courses at the St. Petersburg State University. My educational programme is Quantum Mechanics of Atoms, Molecules and Solid States, so if necessary my primary specialization in Solid State Theory can be changed to the Theory of Atoms or Molecules or the Applied Solid State Physics.

The mark list and an annotation to my master's dissertation paper are enclosed.
